My Philosophy
With regards to breast and bottle feeding, the first rule is: "feed the baby". Your goal may be to breastfeed, pump, and/or or supplement with formula. Know that any of these are perfectly good options as long as they meet the needs of you and your baby.

During later infancy and toddler years, children jump in and explore their world, looking for any areas in which they can exert their independence and control. As young children still require so much attention and support, there are only a few areas in which they truly posses control. The big 3 being: Toileting, Sleeping, and Eating, which is likely why parents find these areas to present some of the most common and stressful challenges.

Feeding children can be hard and unpredictable. If you have experienced challenges with feeding your child, you are not alone. Selective eating and other feeding issues are not uncommon and I am here to help.

First and foremost, take a deep breath and let go of self-judgement and expectations surrounding how you thought you would or should feeding your child.

How you feed your baby is how you feed your baby.

I offer assistance and consultation on varying levels to any parent that is seeking support with breast and bottle feeding, transitioning baby to solids, tackling challenges with selective eating, and developing skills for safe swallow and oral management of textured foods.

I believe that there is a place for different methods to the introduction of solids including baby-led-weaning with table foods as well as using pureed or blended foods while considering an approach that allows greater opportunity for the child to be in control.
